Paradise? São Martinho do Porto on the Silver Coast belongs to the Alcobaça municipality. You might think that the lagoon is man-made, but that is not the case. The sea has carved into the ridge and formed this perfect well protected lagoon. The beautiful ridge – perfect for hiking – runs from Nazaré in north down to Foz do Arelho by the Óbidos lagoon in south. Easiest way to get here is via Lisbon. You will get here in an hour from the airport.
