Isn´t this the best place to visit today on the day of Santa Lucia? This is Monte de Santa Luzia and the church Santuário do Sagrado Coração de Jesus or Diocesan Sanctuary of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, inspired by Sacré Caeur Basilica in Paris. The church is located on the hill north of the historic olf quarters of Viana do Castelo in northern Portugal. From here, it is close to the Galicia in Spain.
If you come here by boat, you will find the marina just next to the bridge Ponte Eiffel. Yes, it is the same Gustave Eifell who constructed this bridge as well as a famous tower in Paris.
If you come here by plane we recommend the airport of Porto, approximately 80 km south of here. South of the city on the other side of the river Lima is a beach well known for good kitesurfing.
