The “Fisherman Festival” takes place in May every year. It originates from the fishermen asking for God´s and all saint´s protection.
The boats are nicely decorated and they all form a procession in front of the beach. This is a nice example of how Nazaré fosters its heritage of being a fishing town.
Perfect day for both the audience and the fishermen!
