It is the time of the day, right after sunset when the sinking daylight, streetlights, the cars´ headlights and facade lights equilibrate. The half-moon hangs like a scenery by the belfry, and it looks like the picture is taken during Christmas time. But it is not. The picture is taken in mid-August and the name of the church is Nossa Senhora da Lapa, next to the nice marina in Póvoa de Varzim.
We have stayed there and have also experienced the very professional yachts mechanics when we had some problems with a boat. A nice marina!
The city is full of people and there are many restaurants and beach clubs along the coast to the neighbor city Vila do Conde.
The commuter train from Porto takes you here in less than an hour. And there are several ways to get to Porto if you don´t come by boat; flight, train, car, bus.
