Monte of São Bartolomeu. São Brás – Between the Sacred and the Profane “is the theme of the exhibition that will be in the Cultural Center of Nazaré (old lota) from January 19th to February 10th.
The show approaches February 3rd, the date that marks the beginning of the Carnival festivities in Nazaré.
On that day the community of the municipality of Nazaré celebrates the São Brás, near the Mount of São Bartolomeu.
This exhibition, besides presenting testimonies of this pilgrimage that is part of the Social and Cultural Identity of the Nazarene community, also addresses some aspects related to the importance of the Mount of São Bartolomeu to the history of the present municipality of Nazaré.
Exhibition Hours
Monday to Friday: 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Weekends and holidays: 15h00-18h00
The inauguration will take place next Saturday, the 19th, at 3:30 p.m.
